Diana Adams for West Melbourne City Council
Diana believes that local elected officials should represent all citizens in their community, which means attentively listening to their concerns, asking questions to learn more, analyzing all available data, and making informed decisions. She has been an active volunteer and public servant in our community and wants to continue bringing that dedication and perspective to the West Melbourne City Council for another term.

College Professor, Foster & Adoptive Mother, Nonprofit Leader
Dr. Diana Adams is a wife, mother, educator, foster parent, and public servant who is passionate about serving her community. Raised by a single mother for most of her life, she learned the value of hard work and determination while overcoming the challenges of cerebral palsy. She earned her degree in Elementary Education from Pennsylvania State University, earning top marks as a Schreyer Honors Scholar, before moving to Brevard County to begin her teaching career. After seven years in the classroom, she earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership and a Doctorate in Public Administration before transitioning out of the elementary classroom to be a nonprofit executive director and small business owner. Currently, Dr. Adams is an adjunct professor for graduate courses in public administration, including nonprofit leadership, grant writing & program evaluation. Diana and her husband, Joshua, are licensed foster parents who have welcomed multiple children into their home, recently adopting their son in 2025. Becoming foster and adoptive parents has strengthened Diana’s dedication to building a safe and supportive community where every child and family has the opportunity to succeed.
